FREE Art Demo featuring Tina Parsley

Tina began working in the floral industry at age 16. Her career started in the heart of German Village in downtown Columbus, Ohio. She worked under the guidance of two talented male designers learning everything from the ground up. Customer service was paramount. Many German Village customers included people who could afford flowers as a weekly luxury. One of her best customers was businessman Les Wexner, former owner of Limited Brands. She stocked his home with fresh flowers weekly.

Three years later the floral shop owners parted ways. Tina was invited to start a new shop, ‘Bellissimo Flowers’ with a gentleman named Bill. They opened a trendy location just north of downtown Columbus. On a shoestring budget, it

grew into ‘hip’  flower and art storefront. One year later a creative design partner, Bob, was added. To this day he’s still a dear friend of Tina. Unfortunately, Bill passed away in 1994.

Tina left the floral industry, started a family, and moved to secretarial office work. The flower passion would come out differently over the years. Gardening became a passion, creating party work, arranging wedding flowers was a constant side hustle. Even today, Tina has customers and occasional orders who utilize her talents.

Tina enjoys giving back to the community, volunteering for a non-profit named ‘Flowers of Comfort’.  Unsellable flowers are repurposed into vases of joy, delivered to hospice or patients in need of a pick-me-up.
